I painted up an old orc champion, originally released around 1992 when I started playing WHFB. The shield design was hand painted. I have found that orange is the best colour to use as a contrast on green skinned orcs. I tried a square base on this one, but really I much prefer round, two pence coins in fact are my go to base of choice.
More green skins to come maybe in the next few weeks and months, if I can find the time.

Impressive orc, excellently painted. We agree that the green / orange pairing works well. The shield painted in the old school style gives an extra touch. We prefer square bases: perhaps you would have been more satisfied with your orc if you had placed it diagonally from the base?
Love the face and the big, gross thumbnails. :)
That's really nice! I like how the painting style echoes the old White Dwarf colour schemes but is much more realistic and less cartoony. And the freehand on the shield is terrific.
Nice to see an old school orc 👍
This is perfect. I love the mini, I love the color scheme, I love the painting style. You're truly an inspiration!
Good work. I don't have that model, but I was more of a 40K player back in 1992 if I played at all. I'm still more of a 40K player but I've painted my share of green skins.
Thanks for all the feedback guys, glad you like the thirty year old orc! 💚
